The European Fertilizer Association, Fertilizers Europe, has published a press release emphasizing that the European fertilizer industry is in a unique position to further improve sustainable agriculture, with low-carbon fertilizers produced from green hydrogen. . But, to achieve this, it is essential that the European Union provides an enabling environment for green investments, allowing its fertilizer manufacturers to remain globally competitive.

In this sense, Fertilizers Europe has called on the European Commission to recognize the magnitude of the challenge and to allocate funds so that the sector can work on its decarbonization, guaranteeing access to affordable, low-carbon renewable energy, and developing a framework appropriate regulatory. For its part, the Association recalled that the European fertilizer industry is committed to farmers implementing sustainable nutrient management practices, and considers that European policies should encourage the adoption of digital tools and advisory services.
